KAREN J. SCHWAB, R.G.
Karen Schwab is the owner and principal hydrogeologist of Kimberlite Water Quality Permitting and Compliance
Services, P.L.L.C. She has a bachelors and masters in geology and is an Arizona Registered Geologist (No. 33268)
with over 18 years of field and project management experience in hydrogeologic investigations and environmental
permitting. Ms. Schwab's hydrogeologic investigations experience includes planning, conducting, and overseeing
groundwater quality evaluations (background versus impacted); water resources investigations; production and monitor
well installation, construction, and testing; well impact analyses; and preparing and implementing site-specific soil
and groundwater sampling and monitoring plans.
Ms. Schwab's permitting and compliance experience includes working both
for the State of Arizona (both the Arizona Department of Water Resources [ADWR] and Department of Environmental
Quality [ADEQ]) and in private industry, as a consultant assisting the regulated community. As a result, Ms Schwab
possesses extensive knowledge of state/federal water/environmental regulations, Arizona Aquifer Protection Permit program,
and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans for construction projects.
Ms. Schwab has authored numerous applications
for/amendments to Arizona Aquifer Protection Permits (APPs), including Clean Closure plans; federal/Arizona Pollutant D
ischarge Elimination System (NPDES/AZPDES) permits; Section 208 Clean Water Act (CWA) Plan Amendments;
CWA Section 404 Nationwide Permits; industrial and general reclaimed water/reuse permits; and Underground
Storage Facility permits.
