At Kimberlite, the person(s) that will be working on your permitting/compliance project
will have no less than 12 years of water quality permitting and compliance experience.
We don’t just bring the jobs in and hand them over to a junior staff. Kimberlite has
unique experience with the water quality permitting process in Arizona. Our professional
staff have previously been employed with both the regulatory agencies and the regulated
community – we know the issues from “both sides of the table”. We will work with you and
your staff to efficiently and effectively meet your permitting needs while minimizing
your expenses both short and long term.
WATER QUALITY PERMITTING We are experts in water quality permitting activities, which include preparing administratively complete and technically sound applications for new permits or amendments to existing permits, permit negotiations, compliance monitoring and reporting, closure/post-closure plans, site investigations, environmental impact studies, and various other permit compliance activities. Kimberlite’s water quality permitting services include the preparation of applications and/or amendments to the following permits:
Can't afford your own environmental staff? Are the individuals responsible for your company's environmental compliance stretched thin with other tasks? You really can't afford to neglect compliance with environmental regulations. Compliance reporting requirements for your facility can be an overwhelming task. Kimberlite provides professional, qualified help for your compliance reporting needs. We can even prepare all correspondence with regulatory agencies. We can assure that you are in compliance with environmental regulations, and that you maintain compliance – without adding staff or paying for an expensive software package. GROUNDWATER/SURFACE WATER MONITORING From a business perspective, subcontracting to Kimberlite for your water sampling or compliance monitoring saves you labor costs and equipment expenses, as well as establishes a joint working partnership with an independent provider who is fully responsible and accountable for monitoring, analysis, interpretation and report documentation. The principal staff at Kimberlite have both field and project management experience, including developing groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling programs, groundwater contamination investigations, environmental site assessments, and water resources investigations. CONTINGENCY EVALUATIONS/INVESTIGATIONS Most water quality permits contain notification, investigation, remedial, and reporting requirements in the event of an unexpected release or a potential release. These assessment and/or remedial actions must be taken quickly. Kimberlite’s principal hydrogeologists will apply their technical capabilities in the investigation and monitoring of groundwater and surface water to assess potential or actual impacts to quality and quantity and to address claims of damage to the resources. Services we offer include identifying and quantifying contaminants (in soil and/or groundwater), assessing ambient conditions, negotiating with the regulatory agency, and preparing the final report. We can provide expert advice and assistance to help your company comply with the complex, changing federal and state regulations — and avoid costly penalties and fines. HYDROGEOLOGIC INVESTIGATIONS Hydrogeologic investigations can range from minimal effort, which may consist of researching and compiling available existing groundwater data, to the installation of several boreholes and groundwater observation/monitor wells, aquifer tests, extensive chemical analysis of the groundwater collected from the observation/monitor wells, and evaluation/recommendation of remedial options, if necessary. We are experienced with developing and implementing comprehensive hydrogeologic and water resources investigations, including the use of subsurface investigation methods, such as test drilling, borehole video, and depth-specific sampling. WATER QUALITY EVALUATIONS Kimberlite personnel have years of both field and project management experience in the collection and analysis of water quality data throughout Arizona. Sampling media includes groundwater, subsurface geologic material, and surface waters (streams, lakes, and canals). Our staff have experience developing, conducting and interpreting the results of surface and groundwater quality monitoring programs as related to water supply development, contaminate migration, or geochemical analysis. | |
